Saintseneca - Last

I’ve been pretty nostalgic about Ohio ever since I moved to New York City, and these feelings get stronger all the time.

It’s the first time I’ve ever lived anywhere else in my entire life.  I’ve been here a year.  I’m trying my best to be a New Yorker, but I couldn’t shake being an Ohioan if I tried my hardest.

Why would I though?

New York’s made me plant Ohio more firmly in my identity than anything in Ohio ever did.

What if I moved to some other city, some place that’s far, far away and strange?

I’d never know you.  I never knew you.

That’s what I’m doing.  Grow up.  Embrace the change.
